Infrastructure Site Security: 

• DPF’s facility in Lakewood, NJ is a self contained, continuously monitored, 24/365 operational data center.

• All building conditions such as temperature, water intrusion, smoke, fire and security are monitored by ADT.

• All building access is monitored and logged by a smart card controlled access system.

• All Servers are in the limited access Server Room, monitored by ADT and security cameras.

• The Server Room power supplies and air-conditioning are isolated from the rest of the facility.

• All equipment in the Server Room is connected to Uninterruptible Power Supplies.

• The entire building is supported by backup, standby power generating equipment, a Cooper Power Systems 200KVA diesel generator.

• Motion detectors – surveillance cameras.

Hardware Platforms

• Primary storage of all online repository data consists of EMC Storage Arrays.  State of the art Symmetric and Centera Storage arrays have a current capacity in excess of 100 terabytes (trillion bytes) of available online storage with unlimited scalability.
  
  
• Rack and Blade servers use monitored racks for temperature and monitoring controls.
  
  
• Dell Servers, HP & Compaq are the preferred Hardware vendors for workstations and Servers.

• QualStar Tape Library platforms for tape backup.

Software Technologies

• DPF is a Microsoft Gold Certified Partner specializing in Business Intelligence Solutions with prioritized access to all of the resources at Microsoft.

• DPF is a beta test partner for Microsoft in developmental areas such as SQL Server technologies.

• EMC Software – EmailXtender, Examiner, RepliStor, NetWorker with Avamar, DiskXtender and VMware.

• Programming development in AJAX,  XML, ASP, Visual Basic, SQL Seagate Crystal Reporting and .Net technologies.

• Adobe Capture Cluster Edition, Adobe Distiller, Adobe Software Developer Kit.

• Backup Software including NetBackup, Backup Exec, Tivoli and NetWorker.

Communication Mechanisms

• The Lakewood facility is serviced by full Fiber Fabric into the building.  Currently configured at OC-3, the capacity is 155 million bits per second, approximately 100 T1 circuits.  OC-192 at 9.92 Gigabits per second is available.

• Encrypted communications are standard utilizing IPSec, VPN, PGP, SSL, NDM and others.

• Level (3) Communications is the Redundant facility for DPF utilizing unlimited connection speeds and storage.

System Monitoring and Support

• Microsoft Operations Manager 2003 (MOM) is the primary tool used for monitoring the status of all systems, system’s operations, system’s events, and procedures.  Email and cell phone notification to the technical staff of all monitored events. 

• SMS Server is used for Patches, updates and deployment.

• Fluke Electronics are used to monitor data traffic.

Backup Technologies

• All backup procedures will be active 24 hour’s a day without interference to the online access.

• All backups are disk to disk, Disk to remote Level (3) and Disk to Tape.

• Monthly Tapes are shipped to Iron Mountain; Daily tapes are taken offsite.

Collocation Facilities

• DPF maintains its collocation and failover data center at Level(3) Communications  facilities in Newark, NJ. 

• This location provides guaranteed 99.999% availability and Gigabit communication capacity.

Data Security

A complex set of hardware and software protocols (CHAPS, KERBORSE, and IP-SEC) and a perimeter-to-infrastructure virus detection system provide the framework for DPF data security measures.
